American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a lineman to build, repair, and maintain electrical transmission and distribution lines. You will work with energized lines, install grounding devices, and ensure safety around high-voltage systems.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, B-200 certs, 4+ years line work, and CDL A license. Overtime, on-call, and travel may be required; you’ll operate safely and communicate courteously on-site.
Builds, repairs and maintains electrical transmission and distribution overhead and underground systems, requiring use of precautionary work methods and safety equipment due to electrical hazards present when working on or near energized conductors and electrical accessories. Opens and closes switches and installs grounding devices to lines and equipment.

Compensation Range: $56.36 - $56.36
Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
