What You’ll Do As a Lineman I Telecom

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, etc.
• Operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, etc.
• Direct traffic flow following local DOT guidelines
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
• Work in multiple locations and travel as needed
• Maintain safe working conditions according to regulations

What You’ll Need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years driving experience
• Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures
• Ability to climb poles and work in bucket trucks up to 40 feet
• Perform duties like pole transfers, maintenance, new builds, etc.
• Set up & maintain safe work areas
• Work in all weather conditions

Additional Qualifications (if applicable)

• Class A CDL license

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Occasionally stoop, bend, climb, and work outside
