Zusammenfassung

The aep is seeking a Lineman to install, maintain and inspect transmission and distribution facilities, both overhead and underground. Residency within 25 miles of the Shreveport Service Center is required.

The role involves working under varying supervision and advancing through Lineman A/B/C levels with a CDL on file. Responsibilities include managing energized conductors up to 600 volts, using test equipment, and leading crew members as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year distribution electrical power line work experience, OR completion of a power line program with internship.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Aufgaben

• Assemble, install, maintain, remove and inspect underground facilities and equipment on de-energized and grounded lines.
• Work on conductors and equipment energized up to 260 volts within six months, under supervision.
• Operate volt-amp meters, ground megger, continuity testers up to 600 volts.
• Build overhead transformer installations and equipment mountings.
• Direct the work of employees assigned to assist.
