Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Fargo, ND is seeking safety‑conscious Linehaul Drivers. You will transfer freight to specified locations, hook and unhook trailers, and complete all required DOT paperwork.

Our Linehaul drivers are home daily with weekends off, providing a strong work‑life balance and consistent miles on fixed routes between Fargo and Bismarck. This role requires a valid Class A CDL, being at least 21, one year of driving experience, and no recent DUIs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI within the past 3 years.
• No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain (renewals reimbursable).
• Successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers as instructed by dispatch.
• Ensure all shipping documents are available for DOT inspections.
• Operate tractor-trailer over long distances as required.

SHIFT: 3:00am start time

ROUTE: Fargo, ND - Bismarck, ND - Fargo, ND ($290.08/day)

PAY: $0.84 per mile (doubles) + $5,000 sign on bonus!

JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Hook up and haul trailers between our customer/terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or immediate supervisor

• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point

• Operate tractor-trailer combination for extended periods of time, over long distances

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 21 years of age

• 1 year of commercial driving experience

• No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)

• No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)

• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain - renewals reimbursable

• This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment skills assessment.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle.

• Must be able to carry freight weighing up to 40 pounds for a distance of up to 20 feet.

• Must be able to hook and unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, to manually lower and raise landing gear, to operate fifth wheel release levers, to lock and release pintle-hooks, to attach and release safety chains, to open and close cargo doors, to climb into and out of vehicles, and to fuel and check oil/coolant levels of vehicles.
