Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Linehaul Driver to move freight between service centers and intermediate points. You will operate a tractor-trailer (single or double) across urban, suburban, and rural areas, handling dispatches and load checks with a focus on accuracy and safety.

You must hold a CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, be at least 21, and pass background, drug, and alcohol tests while complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 6 months driving experience.
• A valid Driver's License.
• A valid CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English.
• Must meet DOT medical and qualification standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between Southeast Service Centers and designated points.
• Operate a tractor-trailer (single or double) in diverse settings and weather.
• Receive and verify dispatch instructions and load against shipping documents.
• Verify hazmat product descriptions and ensure proper placarding and paperwork.

Job description

As a Linehaul Driver, you will transport freight between Southeast’s Service Center or designated points in-between. Operate a tractor-trailer combination (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions. Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against shipping documents. When hauling hazardous material, verify the hazardous material product description, determine any discrepancies in the paperwork, and verify proper placarding. Perform all duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.

• You must be at least 21 years old.
• 6 months driving experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• The ability to satisfactorily pass background check and alcohol and drug test.
• A valid Driver's License.
• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, and Doubles/Triples Endorsement.
• The ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• The mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintenance log.
• The ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.
• Satisfactorily pass alcohol and drug test.
