Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking an Operator II (Linefeeder) for the 3rd shift in Wooster, OH. You will prepare machines, monitor production, perform operations and inspect parts for defects while following procedures and safety rules.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English communication, and the ability to operate medium complexity machinery. We offer starting wages of $22.55 per hour, plus shift premiums and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
• Minimum of one year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations.
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
