Job summary

Schaeffler is hiring for an Operator II on the 2nd shift in Wooster, OH. You will prepare machines, monitor production, and ensure quality by inspecting parts and addressing deviations.

Emphasis on following procedures, safety and PPE use while supporting maintenance to prevent downtime. Required: high school diploma or GED, English communication, ability to operate medium complex machinery, visual acuity, and ability to lift moderate loads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
