Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) seeks a Lineboat Chief Engineer for ARTCO. The role is full-time and exempt, reporting to the Port Engineer and Captain on a lineboat at ARTCO.

Responsibilities include engine room management, repairs, maintenance, and detailed vessel records with Captain oversight. Qualifications include reading/writing skills, ability to work a 28-on/28-off schedule, TWIC credential, and capability to work in varied climates.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documents.
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule; allowance for changes in assignments and priorities depending upon identified needs.
• Work well independently as well as part of a team.
• Promote safety policies and procedures; proven safe work behavior.

Responsibilities

• Manager of all repairs, maintenance, engine room, and general housekeeping.
• Works with Captain and officers to ensure smooth vessel performance.
• Keeps detailed records for the vessel.
• Uses Maximo for ordering.
• Supervises, trains and mentors junior engineering personnel.
• Assists captain and mate with vessel reports in compliance with environmental, safety and USCG regulations.
