Job description

Join to apply for the Line Worker Seasonal role at Marathon Cheese Corporation.

We are accepting applications for seasonal employment. To be eligible, you must have a break of service, and your total service with Marathon Cheese should not exceed 32 weeks within the year.

Duties
  1. Feed cheese onto the production line for wrapping and packaging.
  2. Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, and safety regulations.
  3. Set up and operate scales to weigh products for packaging.
  4. Pack cheese into boxes, stack on pallets, and inspect packages for seals and code dates.
  5. Use box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment.
  6. Sanitize work area and equipment as needed.
Knowledge/Skills Required
  1. Ability to read and write English and perform basic math.
  2. Ability to give and accept constructive criticism and work well in a team.
  3. Maintain a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors, and the public.
  4. Good organizational and communication skills.
Core Hours
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:45 am to 2:45 pm. Saturday hours are generally 6:45 am to 12:45 pm, depending on needs.
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm. Saturday hours are generally 12:45 pm to 6:45 pm, depending on needs.
  • 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:45 pm to 6:45 am. Saturday hours are usually 6:45 pm to 12:45 am or until sanitation is complete, starting Monday night.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Additional education and manufacturing or packaging experience are a plus.

Working Conditions

Work inside a clean manufacturing environment. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.

Additional Information

This overview does not cover every detail; duties may change. Work is primarily Monday through Friday, with possible Saturday work depending on production needs. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
