Job summary

SQM is seeking a dependable 2nd shift Production Line Worker to support the processing and packaging of meat products in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. You will perform hands-on production tasks, follow food safety requirements, and help the team meet daily quality and production goals.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Training will be provided; no secondary education is required, and the position may involve overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Pack, label, and move products on the production line.

• Keep work areas clean and report hazards.
• Assist other departments to support production.

About the Position

The 2nd shift Production Line Worker supports the processing and packaging of meat products in a fast-paced, refrigerated manufacturing environment. This position performs hands‑on production work, follows food safety requirements, and helps the team meet daily quality and production goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Pack, label, stage, and move products and packaging materials on or near the production line.
• Mark bins, cages, carts, or pallets with the required identifying codes.
• Operate or assist with equipment setup and shutdown when assigned.
• Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and foreign material, and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records and enter information as instructed.
• Follow production schedules and all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and PPE requirements.
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and report safety hazards immediately.
• Assist other departments when needed to support production.

What We Are Looking For

• A reliable team member who follows directions and works accurately and safely.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
• Ability to frequently lift 30 to 40 pounds and push or pull loaded carts or bins.
• Willingness to work in refrigerated conditions around moving equipment and moderate noise.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and frequent Saturdays as needed.
• No secondary education is required. Training will be provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old to operate OSHA-regulated machinery.
