POSITION - UNION: Line Trouble Shooter 1/C T&D (CMP- CMP- ME - Portland- Canco Rd )
NUMBER OF OPEN POSITIONS: 1

Responsibilities

1. Safely perform all types of transmission and distribution pole line work, including climbing poles, installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires and cable, transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors, and related equipment.
2. Work on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company’s Distribution and/or Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations.
3. Assume responsibility for emergency duty with minimal supervision and direct the activities of lower-rated workers. Share the standby requirements of the area.
4. Prepare and maintain necessary records and perform other assigned tasks.

Skills and Requirements

1. Graduate of an approved vocational school, institute, or college with acceptable grades in electrical and line worker training, or have previous line work experience. Qualified applicants may also include first-class service workers, line worker apprentices, or higher.
2. Valid Class A driver's license required unless previously held a Class B license before 7/1/2009, with a good safe driving record.
3. Subject to the Company's random drug and alcohol testing policy.
4. Adherence to Company safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
5. Capable of performing all essential functions of the role.
