Job summary

Staffing Alternatives is seeking a production associate in Phillipsburg, NJ to load coils, set up and operate stamping equipment, and ensure parts meet specifications. You will label, package, and palletize finished items while using a lift truck or crane as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load coils onto machines and set up for production.
• Operate and monitor machines to specification.
• Inspect products and ensure labeling, packaging, and palletizing meet requirements.
• Move materials with lift truck or overhead crane as needed.
• Clean coils and inspect for defects.

Job description

Schedule: Rotating Sunday – Saturday 6am to 6pm or 7pm to 5:30am

Pay Rate: $21 - $24.15 depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading Coils
• Setting machine to specifications
• Operating machine

Understand how to:

• Read piece part drawings
• Measure parts using the proper inspection equipment
• Enter data to inspection, adjustment, production and inventory sheets
• Make adjustments to tooling to keep parts within specifications
• Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and palletizing of parts
• Utilize a lift truck or overhead crane to load and remove coils
• Clean coils and inspect for defects

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum two years high school
• Skills/Licensure: Good math skills, mechanical ability, basic reading and writing. Able to read, write, and speak English
• Experience: Metal stamping or other production related background
• Supervises: When applicable, may supervise several packers during a shift
• Physical Demands: Standing for 11.5 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds
• Equipment: Metal stamping equipment, material handling, degreasing, packaging, inspection
