Job summary

Swire Coca-Cola is seeking a Line Shift Lead in Utah to drive safety, quality, and performance on the manufacturing line. You will set daily direction, coordinate planned stops, and allocate staff to shifts while owning the DDS process and improving line reliability.

You will coach and develop the shift team, work with line and plant leadership, and implement action plans to reduce losses and meet production goals. A strong background in food manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working as production/machine operator.
• Experience in high-speed food manufacturing and / or working knowledge of bottling operations preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and industrial technology. Food manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to perform essential functions with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure their shift team complies with the company Safety and Quality procedures
• Coach, train and develop the shift team. Work with the line functional team to determine root cause and solve line losses and performance outages
• Owner of Line shift DDS process including shift to shift handover; Ensure the team develops a robust plan for planned stops, with clearly defined and allocated roles and actions for each team member to deliver results for the current and next shift. Communicate DDS line, department, and plant direction to teams
• Team Development: Work with the Manufacturing Line Manager to plan and execute training for the team. Coach team on how to own their skill profile to feed needs into training plans
• Work with other Line Shift leaders to resolve staffing issues or coordinate staffing across the shift, follow escalation process for any areas that are identified as critical. For example, serious issues regarding safety, quality, or breakdowns
• Know plant standards around safety, break-time, quality, vacation scheduling, overtime management, absenteeism, etc.
• Provide constructive feedback and rewards, role model solid behaviors in these areas
• Build own technical skills and help the Manufacturing Line Manager and Technical Specialists set priorities to maximize process reliability/uptime results and loss reduction
• Ensure all shift documentation, SOP processes and orders are completed per standard
• Performs other duties as assigned
