Qualifications

• Experience operating tools, chainsaws, and large equipment.
• Must obtain Class A CDL within 12 months.
• Must obtain line-clearance tree trimmer qualifications within 2 years.
• Must learn to operate electronic mobile devices.
• Apprenticeship training program to be completed by end of year 3.
• Willing to obtain CPR certification and lifesaving training.
• Willing to work in varied environments and on-call schedules.
• Willing to reside within management-approved area.
• Willing to work in various positions and postures, including aloft and overhead.
• Must follow safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs the clearing or re-clearing of rights of way and trimming of trees.
• Cooperates and communicates with landowners to maintain good public and member relations.
• Attends and participates in employee safety meetings and other meetings.
• Properly uses and maintains right-of-way clearing tools and equipment.
• Climbs trees for trimming along energized powerlines, as qualified.
• Climbs poles and performs pole-top rescue, as qualified.
• Assists line crews during daily operations as qualified.
• Serves as helper to Journeyman/Lineman during outage restoration events.
• Performs other duties as requested or required.
