Line Service Mechanic II in GAC Mesa

Responsibilities include aviation fuel QC, refueling/defueling aircraft, aircraft ramp movements, towing.

The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 6 am to 4:30 pm.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Problem solving and strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Availability to work any shift.
• At least 3 years experience with FBO-type fueling services, aircraft ground movement, and signaling procedures.
• Valid Driver’s License upon hire.

Position Purpose: Assists with aircraft movement on, to, and from the ramp and within hangars, supporting customers, Service Center Maintenance, and Final Phase. Supports hangar operations and provides support for customer and visiting aircraft as needed.

Job Description:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meet arriving aircraft, greet customers, direct to parking, and assist in locating Gulfstream personnel for customer contact.
2. Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew.
3. Coordinate with departments and maintenance for aircraft movements.
4. Assist in training team members on policies, procedures, and equipment.
5. Communicate with departments and supervisors for hangar stacking and operations.
6. Prepare billing and fuel reports, maintain records, and support policies and audits.
7. Maintain ramp equipment and ensure safety and efficiency.
8. Assist with security of premises.
9. Ensure effective communication and shift turnover.
10. Perform basic fuel quality control testing.
11. Identify operational improvements and communicate to management.
12. Assist with ramp operations including towing, fueling, wing-walking, and parking aircraft.
13. Apply 6S and Lean initiatives for housekeeping and safety.

Additional Functions:

• Promote safety and teamwork.
• Perform team leader duties in absence.
• Ensure hazardous waste disposal per guidelines.
• Maintain ramp cleanliness using 6S guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
