Line Service Mechanic II in GAC Mesa

Responsibilities include aviation fuel QC, refueling/defueling aircraft, aircraft ramp movements, and towing.

The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 6am to 4:30pm.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. Problem-solving and strong written/verbal communication skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office software. Availability to work any shift. At least 3 years of experience with FBO-type fueling services, aircraft ground movement, and signaling procedures. Valid Driver's License upon hire.

Position Purpose: Assists with aircraft movement on, to, and from the ramp and within hangars, supporting customers, Service Center Maintenance, and Final Phase. Supports hangar operations by providing assistance with customer and visiting aircraft as needed.

Job Description:

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Meet arriving aircraft, greet customers, direct to parking, and assist in locating Gulfstream personnel for customer contact.
2. Respond to all service needs of aircraft and flight crew.
3. Coordinate with other departments and maintenance personnel to schedule aircraft movements.
4. Assist in training team members on policies, procedures, ground support equipment, and fuel trucks.
5. Communicate with departments and supervisors for hangar stacking and operational needs.
6. Prepare billing and fuel consumption reports, maintain records, and support policies and audits.
7. Maintain ramp equipment and ensure safe operating conditions.
8. Assist with security of the premises.
9. Communicate effectively to ensure priorities are understood and shifts are coordinated.
10. Perform basic fuel quality control testing.
11. Identify operational improvements and communicate to management.
12. Assist with ramp operations such as towing, fueling, wing-walking, and parking.
13. Apply 6S and Lean initiatives for good housekeeping and safety.

Additional functions include promoting safety, leading in absence of team leader, proper disposal of hazardous waste, and maintaining ramp cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned.
