Summary of Job Purpose

The Food & Beverage department is team-oriented and focused on providing the best dining experience possible for our guests.


Food & Beverage Line Servers play a key role in providing our guests with excellent customer service at Dodge Ridge while never compromising quality over quantity.


The responsibilities of this position are to prepare menu items, fill guest orders as requested, and maintain an organized and clean workstation while working as a team member and focusing on fulfilling our guest’s needs.


The line server may work in the Creekside Lodge, North Fork Bistro or Way Station (mid mountain restaurant).


Job Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager & Supervisors, the Food and Beverage Line Server shall be required to:



  • Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

    • Interacting with guests in a courteous manner.

    • Being able to answer questions knowledgeably and professionally



  • Prepare food daily before line service, and keep area stocked throughout the day.

  • Work with the other line workers to keep the line moving smoothly, effectively, and urgently as needed

  • Use clear communication to ensure the timely & correct delivery of all food items.

  • Must be cool, calm and collected during height of operation

  • Follow all food safety and risk management guidelines

  • Maintain a workstation that is both clean and sanitary.

  • Assist in keeping the dish room clean, emptying garbage.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications


  • Must 16 years of age

  • Good communication skills- both listening and speaking.

  • Good manual and physical dexterity skills.

  • Required to have California Food Handlers certification, we recommend ServSafe

  • Must be well groomed and present a good public image. Must have long hair tied back or wear a hat during operations.

  • Responsible use and care of all kitchen and food service equipment.

  • Comply with all departmental and company policies and procedures.

  • Good physical condition including flexibility, strength and endurance including heavy and awkward lifting up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Requires the skills of a host. This involves approaching guests in a courteous manner, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.

Work Schedules

Weather conditions and the number of guests play a significant role in the work scheduling of employees.


When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods, you may be expected to work 6 days a week. If you are under 18, you will be required to obtain a work permit and your scheduled work hours will comply with that permit.


You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time.


Working Conditions

At any time during the season, Dodge Ridge employees must often perform their tasks in variable weather conditions; high winds, rain, snow, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.


Work is typically inside working directly with resort guests and other resort staff members. During all seasonal operations it can be noisy, cold, hot, dry, or humid. You may be expected to work in warm places and often you will work around hot and cold objects. You may often be asked to work in a designated position for an extended time period.


Uniforms

A professional appearance at Dodge Ridge is required. Please always wear your nametag and uniform during your scheduled shift. We will supply most of the uniform for you to do your job. However, you will have to supply some items as part of your job, as listed below. The quality, color, and style of the items must be approved by your manager prior to being worn to work. All hats worn must have the Dodge Ridge logo while on shift.

The riding employee represents a model for safe riding for both the guest and fellow employees. You are required to be aware of all safe riding procedures, trail closures, and out-of-bounds policies.
