Job description

Job Overview:
We are looking for a professional Line Cook or Prep Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Reports to: Executive Chef.

Representative Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
  • Stock inventory appropriately.
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Process Excellence:
  • Ensure the consistent application of culinary development standards, processes, and established methodologies.
  • Protect intellectual properties of the Brand and 3033 Group.
  • Establish operational improvement objectives and implements specific action plans.
  • Ensure the restaurant facility is clean and working correctly.
  • Maintain impeccable standards for a clean kitchen.
  • Model & demonstrate a passion for cooking, food flavors, and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 1 years experience as a Line Cook in a commercial foodservice establishment.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Be willing to follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to arrive on time daily.
