Job summary

MSI Express INC is seeking a diligent Machine Operator for 1st shift in Hammond, IN. You will monitor and operate production equipment to meet efficiency targets and quality standards, perform basic line maintenance, and assist with line setup and cleanup as needed.

Responsibilities include following all safety policies, identifying equipment issues, stocking materials, and working with the supervisor to ensure smooth production flow.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate computer equipment for the line operation.
• Must follow safety practices and company policies, including OSHA/MSDS environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery.
• Operate machinery to meet production efficiency goals.
• Identify when equipment malfunctions and inform supervisor promptly.
• Ensure raw materials are correct part numbers before use.
• Perform basic maintenance and assist in line setup and cleanup to keep line functioning.
• Follow safety practices and food safety/quality guidelines.
