Job summary

BAF is hiring a Production & Packaging Operator with forklift experience. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, typically 14-15 days per month, with consistent days off each week and a focus on safety, sanitation, and quality.

The operator will lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, operate forklifts, and support ongoing production and packaging tasks. You will follow GMPs and sanitation guidelines, participate in safety inspections, and contribute to training and process data audits.

Qualifications

• Requires forklift operation experience and ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Follows GMPs, sanitation, HACCP and related sanitation protocols.
• Willingness to train others and participate in safety inspections.

Responsibilities

Production & Packaging Operator (Forklift Experience Preferred)

• Full-time work is about 14-15 days per month!

• 12-hour day shift, meaning you get 3-4 days off in a row each week! (You always work the same shift and same days each week)
  • Night Shift - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Every other Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

What a "Day in the Life" is Like

A typical day as an operator includes:

• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly during the workday as part of the job's regular duties.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Protect the customer. Manage product quality by adherence to product specifications, GMP's & Sanitation Guidelines, FM prevention, HACCP and assisting with inline routine sanitation, area sanitation & tool inspection.
• Protecting yourself and others and participation in regular safety/sanitation inspections, maintaining orderliness of work areas and ensuring proper Lock, Tag and Try of equipment.
• Perform cleaning with the use of high-pressure hoses and cleaning agents on machinery, product belts, floors, pipes and walls. Also performing dry cleaning where applicable.
• Employee development: Operator is responsible for the training of all team members in safety, sanitation and job duties in their area. Responsible to ensure that all upgrades in the area are trained and qualified to perform the essential duties of this position in their absence.
• Audit process data paperwork and computer entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Observe all machinery for safe operations in the assigned area.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in company-sponsored training processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

We're Looking for Someone With:

• Operator experience.
• The ability to consistently lift or move 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple correspondence as well as communicate in small group situations.
