Job Summary

Operate, direct, and oversee the manufacturing process of grating to ensure proper spacing and piece size as per instructions. Work as part of a team, coordinating, communicating, and collaborating effectively. Work is supervised to maintain quality and accuracy.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Review job travelers to determine required materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Assist with work assembly, production line setup, and changeovers.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, especially during shift changes.
  • Follow all operating, process, and safety procedures.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately, including time cards and tags.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Report quality issues immediately to supervision.
  • Perform additional duties and cross-train as assigned.
Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand/power tools. Ability to read standard and metric measurements, perform basic math operations without a calculator. Prior manufacturing experience in steel or aluminum preferred.

Physical Demands

Repetitive tasks involving standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling. Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds, using proper techniques and assistance if needed.

Work Environment

Work on the production floor with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and machinery hazards. Use of PPE required to ensure safety.
