Job summary

Eversource Energy, based in New England, seeks a Fully Qualified Line Mechanic to perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment. The role requires climbing poles and directing crew members; CDL is preferred and a valid license is required.

The position includes on-call duties and potential overtime within a unionized environment. Bargaining unit TEAL members receive consideration first.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL is preferred and a clean driving record is expected.
• Must be physically able to perform the essential duties and interact with others.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electric power lines and related equipment.
• Climb poles using Lineman’s climbers and work aloft when necessary.
• Respond to emergency situations and be available for trouble calls as needed.
