AEP is seeking qualified Line Mechanic C-A candidates to join our transmission and distribution team in Ohio. You will install, maintain, test, and inspect overhead and underground facilities, and progress through C‑100 to C‑400 under supervision. A valid Class A CDL is required, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.
Candidates should have high school education or GED and relevant lineman training or experience, with willingness to relocate within 45 miles of Columbus service centers.

Perform work involved with the installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal, and inspection of electrical transmission and distribution facilities, drive and operate line trucks and associated auxiliary equipment. All job duties apply to overhead and underground equipment and facilities. The Line Mechanic C builds upon the skills, abilities and knowledge learned as a Line Mechanic D (or equivalent).

Assist in responding to emergency call‑outs on station trouble and coordinating prompt restoration of service to customers as required.
