Minimum Requirements:

• Class "A" CDL required at time of or within 6 months of hire
• Pipeline/Hwy Alcohol & Drug Testing
• CIP certification
• Completion of a one-year line school with a diploma or degree

Responsibilities include:

• Performing work safely in accordance with all safety rules, regulations, and procedures
• Installing, changing, transferring, moving, and removing poles, hardware, transformers, lightning arresters, streetlight equipment, electrical cable, gas pipes, cross-arms, energized conductors, insulators, conduit, capacitor bank controls, and other electrical materials
• Working on energized circuits of all voltages using protective equipment and hot line tools
• Performing steel tower structural work, including erection, removal, and repair of towers and electrical equipment
• Using electrical instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, fault locators, and reading meters
• Operating switches and cutouts in transmission and distribution circuits
• Patrolling circuits, inspecting poles and towers, and climbing inspections
• Driving trucks and managing tools and equipment
• Locating underground gas and electric facilities and performing related tasks
• Performing minor tree trimming and clearing line detriments as necessary
• Completing written reports on fieldwork and materials used
• Leading, training, and instructing employees in their work
• Installing, removing, and changing meters, including setting voltage recording devices and managing demand meters
• Restoring service and performing diagnostics in substations, including switching, analyzing relay targets, and operating substation equipment
