Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Panorama City, CA is seeking a Line Mechanic to set up, adjust, and prepare production lines for scheduled manufacturing runs, ensuring equipment is ready and running efficiently.

You will perform changeovers, operate and troubleshoot equipment, follow GMP and safety procedures, document all setup and issues, and support maintenance as needed.

The night shift runs 4:30pm to 1am; salary ranges from $28 to $32 per hour.

Qualifications

Line Mechanic

Full Time PANORAMA CITY, CA, Los Angeles, CA, US

Salary Range: $28.00 To $32.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Line Setup & Changeovers

• Set up, adjust, and prepare production and packaging equipment for scheduled manufacturing runs.
• Perform equipment changeovers between products, sizes, and packaging formats.
• Install and remove tooling, change parts, guides, belts, pumps, and other equipment components as required.
• Adjust equipment settings to achieve proper product flow, fill volumes, speeds, and packaging performance.
• Verify equipment is properly assembled, aligned, and ready for operation before production begins.
• Support line clearance and changeover activities in accordance with approved procedures.

Equipment Operation & Troubleshooting

• Operate and monitor production equipment during startup and initial production runs.
• Identify and correct mechanical issues affecting equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot problems involving conveyors, fillers, cappers, labelers, pumps, mixers, and related equipment.
• Make mechanical adjustments to reduce downtime, product loss, and packaging defects.
• Escalate equipment failures requiring specialized maintenance or engineering support.
• Assist Maintenance with preventive maintenance activities and equipment improvements.

GMP, Quality & Documentation

• Follow all applicable GMP, SOP, safety, and company procedures.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, properly assembled, and suitable for production.
• Complete required setup, changeover, inspection, and equipment documentation accurately.
• Report equipment abnormalities, product defects, and deviations to the appropriate department.
• Support investigations related to equipment performance, downtime, and production issues.
• Maintain proper control of tools, parts, and equipment components to prevent contamination or mix-ups.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements when applicable.
• Use required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment hazards, and potential contamination risks.
• Support compliance with company safety and environmental requirements.

Shift Information

This person will need to work night shift from 4:30pm - 1am.
