Job summary

The PepsiCo Team Leader (Captain) is the elevated on‑floor leader responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day execution on a manufacturing line. Acting as the shift quarterback, you will align people, materials and resources to deliver safe, high‑quality and efficient performance.

Leading a team of 15–20, you will coach, set priorities, monitor line performance, and drive daily improvements. This role offers an excellent entry point into PepsiCo’s leadership path, with strong focus on safety,

Qualifications

2–4+ years in manufacturing or production environment.
1+ year in lead operator or front-line leadership.
Understand safety, quality, and operational standards.
Ability to lead peers without formal authority.
Strong communication, organization and problem solving.
Experience with daily management systems (DDS).
Basic to intermediate computer skills (Excel, tracking systems).
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (Lean/IWS).

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary coordination point for the line during the shift.
Set pace and priorities to position the team for success.
Monitor line performance and adjust to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Lead the line-level DDS meeting and document top issues.
Support problem‑solving and continuous improvement efforts on the line.
Foster ownership, accountability and teamwork on the floor.
