Responsibilities

  • Keep the production line moving and be the expert for that line.
  • Set up line systems and adjust adhesive, water weights, and press settings.
  • Meet required takt time and monitor systems for issues.
  • Document traceability and charting; maintain 5S cleanliness.
  • Ensure safety policies and PPE compliance.
  • Supply line with raw materials and manage line staffing as needed.
  • Engage in problem solving and continuous improvement meetings.
  • Report unsafe conditions and coordinate with supervision.
  • Monitor water jet cut to meet quality guidelines, with hourly checks.

Responsibilities:
  • The main responsibility of the Line Leader is to keep the production line moving at all times and become an expert for that particular line.
  • Responsible for setting up line systems
  • Responsible for setting adhesive, water weights, and press settings (Glasutech) or general line setup (Thermoforming) per work instructions and parameters.
  • Ensuring time line to meet required tact time.
  • Continuously monitoring systems throughout shift and notify supervisor and maintenance as applicable as issues arise.
  • Perform all documentation required for traceability and charting per work instructions.
  • Continuously monitor system for cleanliness per 5S principles and procedures.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are in compliance on the line, including all personnel wearing proper safety equipment.
  • Recommend jobs to employees in the event of line stoppage and keep supervisor informed of any line problems or employee issues.
  • Ensure line is supplied with raw materials and racking at the beginning of shift and throughout shift as needed based on the production schedule.
  • Control mold temperatures and mold cycle times
  • As a team member perform housekeeping of lines and general area.
  • Engage in problem solving and team building activities on line and participate in continuous improvement meetings.
  • Responsible to work in safe manner, utilizing all proper safety equipment, and to report unsafe conditions to their supervisor.
  • Monitor and maintain water jet cut to meet the Quality guidelines. A minimum of one check per hour is required.
What we are looking for:
  • Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in manufacturing / Automotive sector 1 - 2 years
  • Technical capacity, problem solving/analytical, communication proficiency, time management, collaboration, performance management, leadership, results driven.
  • Physical Requirement: Work involves both office and manufacturing settings. Office tasks require sitting or standing at a computer and using standard equipment. Manufacturing tasks may require walking or standing for extended periods, performing inspections, light lifting, and wearing required PPE.
