Job summary

SMC Ltd. is seeking a Line Lead Coordinator for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) in Somerset, WI. You will lead the production line, set up work cells, coordinate packaging, and work closely with QA to resolve quality issues.

The role requires at least one year in a plastics production environment, good English communication, and strong multi-tasking abilities. We offer growth opportunities, a supportive team, and a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English.

Responsibilities

• Provide front line leadership ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Set‑up work cells and assist in start-up.
• Get packaging for parts, pack parts, weigh parts, make labels, ensure parts are packed properly.
• Support leads with work order changes, pull work instructions/kit books, and replace with correct instructions for new job.
• Assist with daily shift reports in IQ. Ensure production tally sheets are accurate with back counts.
• Negative inventory resolution.
• Work with QA on issues concerning paperwork and part quality.
• Train and update Employees and Temporary Employees on work instructions as required.
• Maintain efficiency, housekeeping, and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as required.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work hands-on with Operators to ensure product compliance. Assist the Lead Operator in set‑up of work cells (packaging, paperwork, staged components, break coverage, etc.). Work with QA on quality related issues.
• Must be able to successfully run each press or assembly station on the production floor.
• Own and maintain press scrap. Verify that defective parts in (red) defect bins are reported hourly on appropriate metrics (tally sheets, pulse boards) and identified by defect.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• The ability to follow oral and written instructions and to understand, speak and read English.
