Job summary

Menasha Corporation, headquartered in Wisconsin with packaging operations, invites a Line Lead to supervise a production line team at our Alsip, IL facility. You will direct staff, train on production tasks, and coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient output. A safety‑minded approach and GMP compliance are essential.

Required are a high school diploma and 3–6 months in warehouse production. Overtime and weekend work may be required, and you will operate in a production/warehouse

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production line staff, providing direction and leadership to maximize efficiency.
  • Train line workers in all aspects of production line work.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and performance in leadership of staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments for positive production results.
  • May perform Quality Auditor duties and inspect product at regular intervals.
  • Maintain awareness of job rates and complete related paperwork accurately.
  • Follow safety and GMP policies and procedures.

About The Opportunity

The Line Lead oversees production line personnel by providing direction and leadership to employees in the most effective and efficient manner

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for effectively ensuring company procedures and policies are being followed
  • Responsible for training line workers in all aspects of production line work
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in leadership of staff
  • Work in conjunction with other departments for positive production results
  • May work as a Quality Auditor and perform continuous inspection of product every hour or more frequently, depending on if the job is complex or critical in its design or use
  • Keep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line
  • Perform all Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions as they pertain to this job
  • Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
  • Responsible for reconciliation to ensure accuracy of job ensuring all paperwork is turned in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Three to six months related experience or training in warehouse production
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Understanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required
  • Ability to plan in advance for production in assigned
  • Ability to interpret instructions (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to produce and meet expectations at a high level through your staff
  • Ability to work with plant management for required results
  • Ability to understand all aspects of the WMS system
  • Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting
  • Walking, standing, bending for duration of shift
  • Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Insert shift requirements

The expected salary range for this position is $18.50/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short and Long term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
