Tatte Bakery & Café in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a Line Cook to join our team. You will prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety across shifts while collaborating with chefs and teammates.

We value passion, attention to detail, and flexible availability including weekends and holidays. Competitive hourly pay ranges from $18.50 to $22.15 with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth within our expanding bakery-café family.

Qualifications

• Experience as line cook or in a fast-paced kitchen preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
• Willingness to follow recipes, standards, and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Execute techniques under the direction of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
• Set up and break down workstations and prepare for upcoming shifts.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Assist chefs in preparing food and supporting additional culinary tasks as needed.

Our Line Cooks prepare dishes according to Tatte recipes and standards while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety across every shift. We expect our savory team members to:

Summary of Line Cooks’ Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ lbs
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8+ hours per day
