Job summary

Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group in Baton Rouge is seeking a kitchen team member to accurately and efficiently prepare hot food and portions, prep ingredients, and assist with plating and garnishes for our brunch-focused menu.

You should have at least 1 year of kitchen experience, be able to follow recipes, communicate clearly with the team, and lift up to 50 lbs. This role offers Day shifts only, medical/dental benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
• Ability to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently; maintain quality.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products and portion prior to cooking.
• Plating and garnishing of cooked items and garnishes for all hot menu plates.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and follow policies.

Job Summary

Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

• Complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
• Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members
• Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
