Job summary

Razzoo’s is seeking a line cook to prepare and season a variety of menu items, including soups, sauces, vegetables, meats and desserts, in a fast-paced kitchen. You will follow recipes precisely and work under the Manager on Duty to meet cook times and plate presentation standards.

Responsibilities include proper portioning, sanitation, safe knife handling, and ensuring all items are labeled and rotated. A strong emphasis on teamwork and safety is required to keep a clean, efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, season and cook complex menu items following recipes
• Follow line procedures and do not shorten procedures
• Use scales and measuring tools for portioning and recipes
• Maintain proper food thawing, labeling, dating, and rotation of items
• Ensure safety, sanitation and food-handling rules are followed
• Keep kitchen clean, organized and sanitized; report unsafe procedures
• Handle kitchen equipment safely; operate dishwashing machine as needed
• Ensure plates are consistently garnished and prepared to order
