Job summary

Galloway Ridge in Pittsboro, NC is seeking a Line Cook to prepare meals per standardized recipes and support timely service. You will maintain clean stations, stock items, and ensure proper plate presentation while following safety policies.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), and strong knife skills. Culinary training is preferred. Hours are 12:00 pm–8:00 pm, with every other weekend, plus growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; culinary degree preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of food storage, kitchen sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to follow recipes.
• Strong math for measurements and recipe conversions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food using standardized recipes with ability to adjust amounts.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and equipment.
• Participate in end-of-shift cleaning and sanitizing.
• Stock station per FIFO and supervisor directions.
• Follow plate presentation standards and instructions.
• Demonstrate professionalism with residents, families, and staff.
• Report safety hazards or injuries immediately.
