Join to apply for the Line Cook - Upper East Side role at Daily Provisions.

Open early, Daily Provisions offers our take on classic bakery items prepared each morning, including signature crullers, homemade baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and freshly brewed coffee and teas. Throughout the afternoon and evening, Daily Provisions serves made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and seasonal sides, in addition to comforting dishes like our slow-roasted Roast Chicken (best served alongside our selection of cocktails, wine, and beer).

Who you are:

As a Line Cook, you have a strong passion for food, technique, and an eagerness to learn more, which comes with the opportunity to build on your skills and grow as a leader in the kitchen. The ideal candidate is friendly, curious, and devoted to becoming an integral member of a team that values hard work and attention to every detail.

What you’ll do:
  1. Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality.
  2. Responsible for all aspects of kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking, and portioning of food.
  3. Maintain and properly use all kitchen equipment including fryers, blenders, food processors, mixers, and rotisserie.
  4. Ensure prep duties are excellently prepped, seasoned, and cooked to standards by culinary leaders.
  5. Follow standard operating procedures of all recipes, techniques, and build sheets.
  6. Store all mise en place properly, including labeling and dating.
  7. Maintain sharp knives and tools, demonstrating at least average knife skills for efficiency.
  8. Keep a clean dish station, including chemicals, janitorial supplies, and health standards, and assist with deep cleaning.
  9. Support the team whenever needed (e.g., call-outs, catering).
  10. Know and adhere to Department of Health standards, keeping kitchen tidy and accountable.
  11. Perform additional duties as needed to support team and operational success.
What we need from you:
  1. 2+ years in a Line Cook role in a similar environment.
  2. NYC Food Handlers License.
  3. Ability to walk or stand for long periods.
  4. English fluency; additional languages are a plus but not required.
