Crying Tiger in Chicago's River North is seeking Line Cooks to prep, produce, and present all menu items. You will join a team dedicated to Southeast Asian cuisine and a world-class beverage program.

Qualifications

• Line cooks are responsible for preparation, production and presentation of all menu items.
• Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends.
• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.
• Ability to effectively communicate to perform and follow job requirements.
• Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Move and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand during entire shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read a thermometer correctly and efficiently.
• Communicate delays or issues to Coordinator.
• Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management when quantities fall below minimum.
• Accurately account for all items coming out of the station.
• Understand and follow food allergy procedures.
• Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Follow employment policies and be a team player.
• Other duties as needed.
