Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory in Trumbull, CT is hiring a part-time Line Cook to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will help prepare over 250 menu items from scratch daily, using fresh ingredients, and contribute to culinary excellence and guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have prior full-service restaurant cooking experience, familiarity with roasting/grilling/sautéing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible hours and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Familiarity with roasting, grilling, sautéing, or scratch cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare recipes using various cooking methods and culinary techniques.
• Read and follow recipes with accurate measurements and weights.
• Demonstrate strong knife skills including chopping, dicing, and slicing.
• Ensure order accuracy through mise en place, proper portioning, and cooking to correct temperatures.
• Plate dishes with beautiful presentation, garnishing as needed.
• Support opening/closing duties including station setup and breakdown, FIFO stocking, cleanliness.
