Qualifications

• Minimum three years in restaurant, scratch kitchen, healthcare dining, or hospitality preferred.
• Experience cooking from scratch required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Culinary education is a plus.
• Food Handler's Permit required (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and equipment is essential.
• Strong knife skills and ability to read recipes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Senior Living or healthcare dining experience a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare fresh, high-quality meals using scratch cooking techniques and established recipes.
• Cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and daily specials.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, presentation, and portion standards.
• Practice proper food handling, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety.
• Set up and break down kitchen workstations efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen areas and equipment.
• Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures.
• Restock supplies and ingredients during shifts.
• Collaborate with the Culinary Director and Dining Services Team to deliver exceptional meals.
• Assist with holiday meals and resident events.
