Sapona Golf Swim and Tennis Club, located in Lexington, North Carolina, is seeking a full-time, hourly Line Cook to join our Food and Beverage team. This position offers a full benefits package, including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, Paid Time Off, and Holiday Pay. Pay Range: $14.00-$16.00 per hour

Job Description

Prepares various pantry products for food outlets such as restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar, and beverage cart.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes opening and closing checklists.
  • Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
  • Prepares meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment.
  • Follows standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.
  • Ensures proper storage of food items.
  • Maintains a clean work station, including equipment and surfaces.
  • Follows opening procedures for the kitchen and assists others as needed.
  • Reports equipment and food quality issues promptly.
  • Supports the Head Chef in kitchen scheduling and management.
  • Practices safe work habits.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

Certificate from college, technical school, or related experience/training; or equivalent education and experience.

Physical Demands

Requires talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close and distance vision.
