Formerly Aurora Santa Rosa Hospital, SRBHH was opened in 2016 and is regarded as an integral part of the greater Santa Rosa and Northern California mental health system of care. Located in the North Bay, this hospital has 144 acute psychiatric inpatient beds and serves adolescents and adults, treating mental health and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse conditions.

Position Details

Title: Line Cook

Reports To: Dietary Manager

Starting Pay: $24.50 per hour

Description of Position

Participate in providing quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests. Maintain knowledge of occupational health hazards and participate in training. Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve meals for patients, employees, medical staff, and visitors.
2. Clean work areas as necessary.
3. Accept, reconcile, and store deliveries.
4. Engage in professional growth activities.
5. Perform related duties as requested.
6. Uphold the organization’s ethics and customer service standards.

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to de-escalate and handle volatile situations.
• Ability to focus amidst distractions and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility in work hours.
• Ability to adjust recipes and understand instructions.
• Proficiency with kitchen equipment and food safety standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform multiple tasks.
• Valid ServeSafe or similar certification.
• Proficiency in English.
