Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Virginia is hiring Line Cooks to join our fast-paced restaurant kitchen. We welcome cooks of all levels who are eager to learn, contribute, and join a collaborative team focused on high-quality dishes and guest satisfaction.

In this role you will prepare and cook items per recipes and standards, maintain a clean workstation, and work with the culinary team to ensure timely, accurate service while upholding safety and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant/food/concessions outlet production kitchen is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Must withstand standing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and proper food safety procedures.
• Set up and maintain an organized, well-stocked workstation during each shift.
• Collaborate with culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen areas.

Line Cook - Restaurant

We are seeking a passionate and dependable Line Cooksof all experience levels to join our restaurant kitchen team. Whether you are just beginning your culinary career or an experienced cook looking to grow your skills, we welcome individuals eager to learn, contribute, and be part of a collaborative team. In this role, you will prepare and cook high-quality food according to established recipes, standards, and procedures while keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient. The ideal candidate is a team player with a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Pay rate

$15-$18/hr.

We’re hiring for both full-time and part-time opportunities, with flexible scheduling options available.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and proper food safety procedures.

WhatWe’reLooking For

• 1 + years of experience in a high-volume restaurant/food/concessions outlet production kitchen is preferred, or experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines with particular attention to detail.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs. without restriction.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
