Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group in Minnesota is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents, guests, and staff, following menus and recipes for planned events. This role offers a rewarding path with opportunities for advancement within our innovative senior living communities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of line cook experience, plus solid communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of line cook experience and/or training.
Must have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Cook and prepare food for residents, guests and employees.
Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
Ensure freshness, proper seasoning, and safe handling of all foods.
Stock and clean station for next shift.
Follow food rotation policies.
Maintain a positive team environment.
Promote positive relations with residents, families and guests.
Uphold resident rights and a safe, dignified environment.
