The Experience Senior Living Team is comprised of passionate professionals dedicated to empowering older adults to live life to the fullest. We are seeking a Line Cook to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality culinary service and promote a fine dining experience.
- Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas.
- Manage opening and/or closing of the kitchen.
- Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to food safety standards.
- Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
- Estimate and communicate needs for food and supplies.
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and menus.
- Document food temperatures and maintain food safety logs.
- Prepare snacks and beverages for residents.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Assist with food transportation, storage, and special event preparations.
- Participate in pre-meal meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare settings.
- Food handler permit as required by law.
- Ability to read recipes, schedules, and logs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with residents and team members.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and accept supervision.
- Willingness to work varied schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
