Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join the Applebee’s team in our neighborhood restaurant. You’ll handle prep work, cook duties, and maintain high standards for presentation, quality and timing while working across kitchen stations.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication.
• Ability to use knives and basic food-prep equipment.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Capable of moving cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Respond to emergencies to keep self and others safe.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee’s Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (50%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work (15%*).
• Set up workstation according to station diagram (15%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
