Job Summary:
Location: Methodist Fremont Health HospitalResponsibilities:
1. Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
2. Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
3. Intermediate to advanced knife skills required.
4. Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use.
5. May clean and sanitize work stations and equipment.
6. Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
7. Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
8. May receive inventory, move and lift foodstuffs and supplies and prepare meals for customers requiring special diets.
9. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Schedule:
Rotating weekday schedule from 6am to 2:30pm OR 11:30am to 8pm with every other weekend. 24 hours per week total.
