Position Summary

A Line Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items created by the Head Chef and helps keep the kitchen running smoothly.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00.

About the Venue

The Liberty First Credit Union Arena, formerly known as Ralston Arena and sometimes as Ralston Sports and Event Center, is an arena located in Ralston, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. It serves as the home of the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League and the Omaha Beef of the National Arena League. It hosts New LOVB Volleyball and many events including concerts, banquets, and other sporting events.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in a specific station.
• Cleaning up prep areas.
• Making sure the kitchen is stocked.
• Cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
• Grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods.
• Broiling, sautéing, frying, or baking meats, poultry, and fish.
• Preparing sauces, marinades, soups, stocks, and salads.
• Maintaining a sanitized work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow direction of head chef.
• Previous kitchen and line cook experience.
