Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $15.00/hr

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing foods to be served to guests throughout the venue. The role involves direct contact with the public, such as working at a buffet line slicing meats or preparing dishes to order. The Line Cook must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled based on business needs.

This role pays an hourly wage of $15 to $17, plus tips.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for guests.
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
  • Work as part of a team with responsibilities related to food preparation, service, and delivery.
  • Report any maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery.
  • Consult with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor on menus and food consumption estimates.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a cook or prep cook.
  • Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Valid food handling certificate if required by regulations; ServSafe preferred.
