LINE COOK - PART TIME

Reports to the Sous Chef; position is non-exempt.

Who You Are

You have experience as a culinary professional, confident in various stations such as grill, sauté, or salad. You are eager to learn from your team and have a strong foundation of culinary techniques, with a passion for recipes, restaurants, and chef profiles.

The Role

The Line Cook reports to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, developing and executing scratch-made dishes. You should be knowledgeable in culinary techniques, task-oriented, and able to work well with colleagues and leadership, contributing insight and collaboration for shared success.

What You Will Do

  • Uphold and model the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character.
  • Collaborate with Culinary leadership to ensure excellent guest experiences.
  • Prepare food according to recipes and presentation standards, with pride.
  • Maintain organization and respect for ingredients, equipment, and workspace.
  • Work with a professional sense of urgency and attention to technique.
  • Continuously improve culinary skills through study and practice.
  • Communicate openly during daily lineups and meetings.
  • Report facility and equipment issues promptly.
  • Align priorities with Culinary leadership and support operational success.

What You Will Need

  • Passion for culinary arts and learning.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an entry-level cook or higher, with 3 years in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Basic math skills for ingredient measurement and inventory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, and 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods and work in warm environments.
