We are seeking a Line Cook to join our team!

Schedule: Part Time | Evening Shift | Variable Days

Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experience.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and food storage areas at all times.
  4. Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen.
  5. Follow cleaning schedules as assigned.
  6. Ensure all food is received, stored, and prepared per company standards.
  7. Estimate food and supply needs and communicate with culinary management.
  8. Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to recipes and menus.
  9. Record food temperatures before service, and in refrigeration and freezer units.
  10. Provide snacks and beverages for residents at all times.
  11. Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
  12. Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
  13. Support preparation and execution of special events and meals.
  14. Attend pre-meal kitchen stand-up.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. 1-3 years of cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare settings.
  3. Food handlers permit as required by law or standards.
  4. Ability to read and follow recipes, schedules, and logs.
  5. Ability to engage thoughtfully with residents and help them transition into the community.
  6. Strong relationship-building skills with team members and residents.
  7. Focus on excellent customer service.
  8. Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  9. Ability to follow directions from superiors.
  10. Share knowledge and feedback constructively.
  11. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment hygienically.
  12. Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
