Job summary

Carve American Grille in Austin, TX is seeking a Kitchen Line Cook to join our on-site team in a part-time role. You will follow established recipes, maintain station standards, and plate dishes with care in a timely, hygienic manner.

Ideal candidates are detail oriented, team players, and dedicated to quality. We offer training, advancement opportunities, and insurance benefits, with a starting pay of $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain hygiene standards.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to perform additional duties as needed by chefs or managers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established recipes, procedures, portion controls and presentation specifications.
• Demonstrate understanding of how to use and maintain all station equipment.
• Prepare, cook and plate all food according to directions in a hygienic and timely manner.
• Perform basic preparation duties, including handling raw produce and meats, following quality specifications and proper hygiene standards.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as requested by the Chefs or Managers.
