Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, AZ, seeks an experienced cook for a high-volume, upscale kitchen in a luxury hotel setting. You will prepare, plate, and present dishes following standardized recipes while maintaining sanitation and timely service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three+ years cooking experience in upscale, high-volume hotel or restaurant.
• Thorough knowledge of Food Service Sanitation Standards.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and organizes work area with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Receives, inspects, rotates food to ensure freshness.
• Prepares and stores raw food products properly.
• Follows standardized recipes and plating guidelines.
• Monitors finished product for timely service.
• Ensures quality and that kitchen is clean and safe at end of shift.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment malfunctions or hazards.
• Returns utensils to pot wash area and ensures proper storage.
